    1996 discovery rotary coupling

    hi just a quick question i hope someone can answer,do the airbag and cruise control wiring disconect from the coupling??i have continuity through both wires off both terminals? this cant be right,does this mean the coupling is stuffed????'thanks for any advice.

    Don't know about the Air bags but the Cruise certainly does on my '95 V8i. It has a fly lead & plug tucked away inside, after removing the Steering Wheel.

    Not sure if which bit of the connector you were checking, but remember that you should NOT meter the airbag connector. WSM warns against this as the voltage may cause the bag to trigger.

    I think restraint items are all coded yellow, the SRS connectors are and I'm sure the airbag connectors are too.
    That means that the airbag will likely be separate from any cruise etc.
