Thread: under bonnet lining sound proof stuff.

need to replace this on my 95 disco, mine got to wet to often and has finally collaps into a soggy mess, i removed it on the weekend, what best to replace it with, any idea's? what have others done? thank again

I have a spongy sound deadener mat stuck under the bonnet that made a little difference on my Puma, but nothing compared to the improvement that was made when I recently installed an engine mat. It a sheet of lead sandwich between a couple of lays of woven heat proof stuff that cable ties onto the top of the engine with a flap that extendes down the back of the engine; exactly the same as what LR now put on the new 2.2 Puma but desinged to fit the 2.4. Looking at it i thought id blown my money until i put it on. I bought it from NK (noise killer) in the UK.
