    Wheel Nut Caps

Hi All, I have just purchased a Disco1. Can somebody please tell me how you get the cap off the wheel nut? (so i can undo the actual Nut) Thanks.

Those caps are part of the wheel nut, unless you are talking about a single locking nut per wheel then they are not removable. Yes they are loose, but are crimped on. I bet some peanut has damaged them with the incorrect socket size so you then can't get the factory wheel brace onto them?

Hi Not sure but if the Disco 1 is the same as the Disco 2 only the locking nut has a cap that you need to remove. the rest feel like they have caps on them but undo with the normal socket. The locking nut has a cap with a dimple and is supposed to be removed with a special plastic tool wich brakes the first time you use it.
Get 2 small sharp screwdrivers and apply pressure to both sides of the cap and lever it off.
A lot of people on this site myself included have thrown the locking nuts away and replaced them with standard nuts due to the locking nut adaptor failing when you least need it.
Hope this helps and as I said I am assuming the D1 is simular to the D2
