quick update...
big service, tappets and belt replaced (noisy? is this right?) udgraded the stereo head unit, and butchered (properly butchered) my 6x9s onto the rear pillars.
All going fine for now, just a bit of black smoke on a cold startup.
I love this car!

first country drive on the weekend, drove like a champ, first corrugations, at least they looked like corrugations, they sure didn't feel like them!
a little hot water dripping on my feet tho..... hitting the search function, see what i can find.
Heater core is probably leaking. Been there, done that. Make sure you keep an eye on your coolant levels. The water/liquid that goes through your dash is from the radiator. If that goes low your engine will overheat and potentially wreck even more things like the head gasket.Quote:
