Expect the windscreen to need replacing. Unless it's practically brand new, they make you replace it every time you want a RWC. Always annoys me!

Took the green machine in yesterday for a roadworthy (NSW). I have at least 3 x stars in my windscreen and never questioned. Rocked up covered in mud this time. Fortunately I have a history with this guy, and he drives a cruiser ute so understands the 4wd mindset.

Windscreens are only a problem if there is damage in "line of sight".
A friend is getting a roadworthy at the moment. The windscreen is delaminating around the edges (understandable for a 44yo screen) but is otherwise perfect so it will get through.
I find, for the cars I have, windscreens are so cheap so why wouldn't you change them if you got a star or crack?

The windscreen laws in Vic have relaxed quite a bit, allowing bulls eyes up to 16mm inside wiper arc, cracks up to 150mm long inside wiper arc and star fracture with run up to 150mm inside wiper arc.
Blasting is up to the testers' gudgment (Hard to measure)!

Wow that is quite relaxed! Cheers for the info, I didn't know that. A good to know for next RWC...
