No drama Sparks next time round for me will be with a TD for tour ability. Im only telling my story so no one else makes the same mistake I made. It doesn't pay to cut corners or listen to the uninformed when it comes to 4wd mods, honestly think of where we go in these trucks and how remote we get. First rate mods all the way for me from now on. It's a pity I ruined a low mileage truck thanks to bad advice. Just hope my bad luck can save others

I was going to buy a cheep body lift but now that i read your horror stories then i just bit the bullet and got the white tiger lift. this kit looks extra strong and looks the goods.

So thanks for letting us know on your mistakes so i can learn from it.

    Cheers

What was wrong with the body lift? Lots make the mistake of not adding in some box on the load supports under the rear floor, 4 off and the ones under the front seats, 2 off, it destroys the body structurally and the outriggers suffer fatigue and break

That was the problem, it was a cheap basic body lift that I was told was all I needed. Stupid uneducated me believed it and went with it. There was nothing for the load support sections and as a result it did destroy the body and the rear outriggers broke off entirely. Only solution for me now is a replacement disco and start again. This time I do it right and with a td200 or 300 and all mods done with consultation with an engineer so I can make it as legal as possible. It's going to cost a pretty penny I know but there is no choice I either give up and sell everything (not going to happen) or build it better next time.

Nah going to stick with a disco but go turbo diesel this time. You live you learn and when you fork out too much $$$ you learn fast and don't make that mistake again.. Hopefully by next season I have a new rig all set up ready to tour.. Time will tell.

The price is too good to not check it out. 93 td200 with 5spd. I have my fingers crossed. Check back tomorrow if I get it I'll post it here with pics

Pick this up tomorrow, will my suspension parts off my 97 4dr fit this 93 2dr?
It's pretty clean and the driveline looks and feels top notch. Only a few bits to make it rwc that I could see.
Any info before 8am would be great because if its not suitable then I'll leave it.
I now my flares won't but the rest afaik should be a straight swap.
