Hi shamat,
I don't have pictures but due to the worry of water also, mine is located in the passenger side storage bin in the boot. It is mounted vertically but has never had a problem with skipping at all.

A good friend of mine was nice enough to give me a Pioneer head unit and 12 CD changer to replace the hole that currenlty resides in my dash (bought the Discovery with no radio, but some nice speakers still installed).
Installing the head unit is quite easy, but finding a location for the CD changer is proving more difficult. I know most people will say put it under the seat, but given ive had it in water half up up the doors previously, Im not keen on having anything electrical that low.
Has anyone got any ideas on where best to mount it, or better still, pics of where you might have installed yours? Thanks in advance.

Hi
You didn't say the model of the car or size of the changer. Mine (a Disco 1, five door, from 98) had a factory mounted 6 disc changer under the front passenger seat. Maybe yours will fit, maybe not. I removed mine since the previous owner had replaced the radio, and that I never use CDs anymore. Will use the old mounting for a air compressor when I get the time to mount it

Under the seat is the usual position.
As mentioned, one of the back bin/pockets is another option or maybe cut a section of your glovebox out and mount in in there,
or remove the inner moulding of the central box/armrest between the front seats and try to fit it in there.
Thanks all. Looks like the the back bin is the go. As previously stated I dont want it under the seat for fear of drowning it. Centre console and glove box are out of the question as its a rather large 12 CD unit.
