Driveline vibrations?
Hi i recently lifted my '95 D1 V8 Auto 50mm, all was good, but then due to gas tanks going in the back the rear was a bit low. I didn't want heavy duty springs since i like the comfy ride so i put in 25mm steel spacers under the springs. Now it sits as it should, however i now have a vibration that appears above 80kph with light throttle or just off the throttle. I can hear it and feel it thru the accelerator.
What are the most likely causes and where should i start?
I am presuming either the uni's on the prop shaft or wheel bearings???

You should check the uni-joints for wear and have a driveline specialist check the alignment of diff flanges and Tail Shaft angles, you may need adjustable rear track rods and/or correction bushes on front track /radius rods, and possiblt a carden joint front/rear, Regards Frank.

Hi Vogue,
I thinks Franks nailed the most likely causes in his reply. I agree, check out the drive line first as I would doubt that its wheel bearings. Why didn't you consider poly air bags? They are brilliant and very tunable with very slight PSI adjustments. Anyway, apart from the new vibes it sounds like the spacers have acheived the results you were looking for.I hope you find the culprit soon and dont forget to let us know!

It may not be related to your lift, or it may be coincidence, but I had shocking vibes, similar to what you're describing, in a Defender. I replaced the axle shafts and it disappeared.
