Thread: Door trim Removal

2 bolts under the armrest, 10mm socket to undo IIRC.
screw through door opener surround, phillips head no. 2
Use a door trim removal tool to prise up the trim at the top which cleans the window.
Use the door trim removal tool behind the door card to lever it out and remove the trim. There will be a heap of red clips which attach the trim to the door frame. if you can see them, prise the red clips themselves and not beside them. You can get replacement clips from ebay UK. Search for Dicovery door trim clips.

Now the OBVIOUS question is........what is a door trim removal tool??? Is it like the old Holden circlip removal tool??
Is there a photo of one somewhere, or can I make one easily??

It's not the same as the Holden Circlip remover, that just removes the circlip behind the window winder. It's more like a screwdriver with a fork and bend on the end like a mini pry bar. It goes around the red clips an levers them our. You could just use a screwdriver and carefully work your way around. A Goggle search should find one. I've also seen them on ebay.

Don't forget to remove speakers to make life a bit easier.

Oops, forgot about the speakers.
Can get a removal tool form Autobarn or the like quite cheaply.

I used an old carving fork, which worked superbly - even so most of the red clips broke, so buy them before you start,
