That looks pretty normal. Small filings are ok as long as no bits of metal are present.
Hi all.
Finally got the gearbox out of my temporarily adopted V8.
Problem was you could change gears while engine was running without pressing the clutch and it obviously not driving.
After expecting a pretty low profile clutch I was surprised to see quite a bit of meat still on it - the only thing I found odd was the springs were all loose and a few of the fingers on the pressure plate seem bent. Nothing too dramatic other than that though, only a couple of hotspots on the flywheel and pressure plate.. But I also found quite a bit of metal goo stuck to the magnetic drain plug, can anyone give me an opinion on "how bad" this looks?
Appreciated!

Changed mine a few weeks back and it looked the same as yours. I'm not worried about mine.
great news!
Well, new clutch etc is on its way, hopefully successful mission this weekend
Thanks guys!
Awesome. If you have any tips on changing a clutch, please report back! I've never done it before and sounds kinda scary. I suspect I'm due for one in the not too distant future...
