When you replace it, replace the 5 watt light bulb with a 3 watt. It gets too hot with a 5 watt bulb and the heat damages the indicator.
Does anybody know the part number for the label which indicates which gear you are in for a four speed auto. One of mine is missing and the other buckled.
A search on the internet found me one for a three speed but a four is not showing up. The local distributor hasn't got back to me after repeated calls either, so any leads would be appreciated. I suppose wreckers are a way by buying the whole surround, but if all I need is a sticker I'd rather not go down that track.

I've never had one on mine. Does it exist?
Hi I have looked at my parts manual and as far as I can see it would be called "illumination assembly selector mechanism" part no. BTR4029.
So I would start with that number.
Cheers Peter
Thanks for info Peter, I'll start with that but a search implies that p/ns for the plastic film, not the label
