    D2 ARB bar on D1???

I have the opportunity to get a free Disco 2 ARB bullbar, however we need to put a normal bumper on the car to replace it, problem is mum doesn't want the big bullbar on her car, so we're going to have to buy a replacement for it. Eventually i will probably buy mums car, which is all well and good as the bullbar can go on it then, but in the meanwhile i would like to put it on my D1, as it has a standard bar + an LR winch nudge bar mount, which doesn't relaly offer the protection. I've had a look at a few threads and websites saying you can do it, but what is it like, do the panels all line up as well as the holse in the chassis (if anyone has done it), i know the D1 only has 2 holes where as the D2 has 3 for the ARB, but thats only minor. I'll also put the winch in it. Love to hear a few success stories, and if anyoen has some pictures that would be great.

    Cheers

My ARB airbag winch bar mas 3 mounting holes, it the model that uses a mounting cradle with the winch underslung not mounted to the bar.
I have read that the D2 bar will fit but the grill arear wont fit as flush as the correct model bar - but still fits.

It fits, not perfect but fine, have a D2 bar on mine with winch (mounted in the standard way rather than a cradle)

Geez, good dig of an old thread Cheers

When you say standard way do you mean bolted to the back of the fairlead with the bolt threading in horizontally?

Still undecided on what i'm doing re. cars though haha

    Cheers
