    Transfer case question LT30

Hi all, question, can the internals of the transfer case be inspected without taking the whole gearbox out.

yes, the pto plate lets you check the condition of the input gear splines and remove the input gear as needed
the bottom plate provides access to the main gears and the high/low selector
the foot and heel can be removed in situe to inspect the internals of the diff and the rear output respectively.

    Thank's Dave, that's a great relief.

Got something wrong happening inside there, bad backlash with a little clatter at times. Good to know it can be inspected without major surgery.
