    new cylinder head valve clearances

am putting on my new 'performance' cylinder head from turners.
just wondering how many k`s to drive it before re-checking the valve clearances.
    thanks

    Hi Ade,
I've just done mine, same head actually from Turners, I'd covered 1500 klms, I rebuilt the engine as well, that determined the klms to check things out. They were just starting to rattle a bit and did need adjustment.

I checked mine after 2 weeks regardless of kms then after 2000kms then 5000kms
just be careful with the rocker gasket... they can be a bit of a pain (curling in the back of the head giving nasty leaks)!

About to do mine after about 3000kms. Sounds a bit rattly, but that could be because I don't have the sound cover/deadener on the engine.
One question. Does anybody know what pressures you should get when doing a compression test on a TDI?
I know the manual says 70psi difference between cylinders, but no actual figure!
I tested mine and get 420-420-425-420 psi with a new Turner Performance head.
