Suggestions on getting slobber off windows?

I'm getting ready to sell my beloved Disco at the request of the other half.

I've given it bath and interiors have come up pretty good but 5 years of accumulated Great Dane dog slobber seems to be a bit much for Windex to handle. Vinegar didn't do jack either.

It just smears across the window, leaving a greasy kind of smudge and bit worryingly, the tint seems to be peeling. I usually just wash the windows down with water but they're not looking as shiny and clear as I was hoping when it came to sell it.

So, does anyone have any magic tricks for getting rid of dog slobber from the both the interior and exterior of the windows?

if the tint is peeling, I would consider retinting it and then itll look new

I have heard some metho in the water is good for glass but not sure how that would affect the tint film

Have you tried soaking it in hot water with dishwashing liquid to soften and break it down?

Windex (non-ammonia for the tint) has always worked for me.

    dog slobber destroys window tinting.
Retint is the only option I'm afraid.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Sell the other 1/2 keep the car. J/K.

    Meguiers Glass Cleaner.

    FAQ - Window Tinting

Q: Thanks for the great job you guys did on my windows. How do I clean my windows to ensure it lasts as long as possible?

A: We recommend a non-ammonia cleaner and a soft cloth, such as a T-shirt. Vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 10 parts water), or Windex with vinegar available at any store. Be sure to read the label that it does not contain ammonia. It you use a professional window cleaner let them know which windows are tinted.

    Thanx

It was my first thought too

A retint would probably be more than the disco is worth. Its not like it is restricting vision or anything but would have been good to get it looking real nice. Her next owner can drop that cash on her if they want.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll keep the hounds in the tray of the next car...
