It is usually wear in the components and given the safety nature of the belts, it is advisable to replace with new.

It is possible to get generic belts cheaper than OEM from auto parts stores which will still fit the OEM fittings, but I would be a little wary that the belts will be long enough for the Disco.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Clean the belts.

I gave mine a scrub today with a nailbrush and Sunlight soap. Then a rinse and left them extended to dry. They retract once again.

We discussed here last week: Retractable seat belts won't!!

Seatbelt solutions in Welshpool will do any seatbelt repairs - Generally as good or better than original and cheape,r and they are the only licensed center for seatbelt repairs in WA I believe. Definately worth a ring!
