Talking Front & Rear MD Lockers for my 300Tdi D1! Unreal!

Today is a fantastic day, for I have just taken delivery of a set of front and rear Maxi-Drive diff locks for my dearly beloved.

A couple of weeks ago, I won an auction for a rear only MD locker on ebay, & the seller reneged on the deal at the last minute. A copy of the email from the seller is attached below.

Hi Andrew, I have been camping over the weekend and only got to a computer now. On Saturday I sold the diff to a friend of a friend for $1500, I told him it was on Ebay and if it went over $1500 then he lost out, I expected to get over $1700, I can not believe it only went to $1145, If you match the other guys $1500 you can have it otherwise the other guy wins. Sorry to spoil your day but I had no mobile reception or internet access.
If you are happy to pay $1500 I will take it to the freight depot and organise the delivery, That will be $1650 all up, still a bargain, you will never see a Maxidrive set up like this for less than $2k.
    Let me know asap
    Cheers

I was so dirty that a seller would have the gall to even try that sort of thing on. However, every cloud has a silver lining. I had a look through the AULRO driveline classifieds, & I found a front and rear set for $2500! Not only was it an unreal price, but the bloke has a newborn, & they needed the cash. This bloke couldn't do enough to help me out.

MR Automotive in Brisbane quoted me $2200 for the rear, in stock, & $2900 for the front, which is a 6 month wait. Getting a complete set for nearly half price is the ultimate dream run, & I cannot believe my luck. Time to get my finger from my bottom, & start putting the machine together.

G'day, great to see you have a win after being stuffed around by "he who shall remain nameless". Maxidrives rule, you'll never look back. Get 'em in quick while it's still wet and have yourself some fun. Cheers, Bush Ranger.

i'd be p'd off if someone did that, if you win it its yours, if the seller wanted more shoulda started it higher! but looks like you ended up with a much better deal!
