300Tdi engine number.
I have to have my D1 re-rego'd this coming week and though I have searched all areas of the engine block, cannot locate the engine number stamping, can any of you learned gents give us a clue as to what may be the location of the engine number on a '97 Tdi engine, and can it be viewed without removing the engine from the car, as I just about had to do with a Merc we owned once, thanks.
