Thread: MAF question

I have a disco 1, 93 4 belt pulley set up, Duel fuel..My question is why will it not run at all with out the maf plugged in?(when later models run without it connected) my car has had a problem since I first bought it, intermitent break downs , fuel or spark not sure. I did bee uteys coil/module conversion, new dizzy leads plugs. Went like a supercar for two weeks Then it had a miss one arvo, next day got worse then it just stopped! Ignition is still fine, big fat spark to the dizzy. Question is will a stuffed maf kill the car? Every body says No! but on later cars it runs, but how bout on the early ones?

Hi is it definitely a stuffed MAF and not just a split Hose between MAF and alloy intake Plenum?
