most get the alpine window rust I have had mine cut out and treated but it was no where near as bad as that..

Maybe take it down to a smash repairers and get a quote.

The other thin you could consider doing is buying a wrecker....with a reasonable body and just switch the bodys over..you can sell the parts off the wrecker to recoup money.

or find someone that is wrecking a vehicle and buy the body off them
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

When having the rust done on my D1 years back the panel beater was almost at the point of removing the window compleatly and fill with steel. It was the cheaper quote but by then decided it was time to sell.

Rust is like an iceberg - what you see is only about 10% of what's there.

Pull off the inside trims & have a look as it won't get any better with age.

I have been offered a pretty darn good body for a few hundred bucks!
Even in the same colour, Popped the trim and looks good!

Problem is, mine is a 95 pre OBD, this one is a 96 so will have obd, Perhaps a good thing, the bad thing is its being wrecked as it had a continual string of electrical issues that no one could sort.....

    Perhaps change out entire loom?

And the legal side of a body swap????

Well, there aren't any numbers stamped into the body (that I've been able to find).

The numbers are on removeable plates.......so........
