    Tryed adjusting the timing and it made it a little better but it still feels very slow and struggles to rev past 2500-3000RPM I am thinking my tachometer might be wrong cos it sounds like it revs more I'm going to try another coil also and see what happens

    well i got a coil off a xd falcon wich to my suprise was a lucas brand, fitted it and it made a little difference but it still has no power above 3000rpm and it seems to get worse as the car warms up

    XD iron head engines ran points, the coil will be marked something like "12V use with resistor" and is not suitable. XD alloy head engines ran Bosch electronic, coils will have a yellow sticker and a relief port which needs to face away from sticky beaks. Go and borrow someone's timing light too, or buy one off ebay, cheapest are under $40.

    Hi maybe your timing is out search threads for correct setting for your model/year. Could be a hole host of other things but start with ignition and timing and go on from there.
