Rust removal from rear roof windows

Have many owners gone the route of paying for rust removal in and around the rear roof windows of a D1 ? - Something more than tiny surface bubbling, maybe leaking a little but not 'raining' inside.

Reason: - some D-1's I've come across seem cursed with this, suspect it could be a known problem. The fact that the current owners have'nt had it repaired tells me it may be expen$ive....

-= Looking at maybe buying a cheapy for a son, in which case if I have it professionally fixed, the roof can be painted white at the same time.

Thoughts on this and any other common rusting areas appreciated !

The rust around the windows is fairly common, I just had the rust cut out of mine, the shop plated it and resprayed the roof, bonnet and both front guards including a small ding repair. No issues and a 4 day turn around.
    Total cost $1,400.00

It is not a hard job. Treat it as an excuse to buy a Mig and learn how to use it. (That reminds me I still need to do mine...)

The options are to either repair as new, or blank off the windows completely with steel (google and you can find examples).

I could be pursuaded to do the welding, for suitable liquid renumeration...
