Changed Radiator and now serious ignition problems.
Hi, I changed the radiator this morning for a new aluminium Fenix one. Now the idle is all over the place and it is missing badly under any sort of load. It is a 1996 V8i dual fuel. The iginition issues happen on both petrol and gas.
It has a Scorcher distributor with the Bosch amplifier remotely placed as per an earlier BeeUtey conversion. Last weekend, I replaced all the ignition components including coil, amp, plugs, leads, rotor button and distributor cap which fixed an obvious ignition degredation. It was an absolute pleasure to drive this week. So this morning's turn around is baffling.
I can't see anything that we did this morning that would have caused this. Basically a radiator swap and also the thermostat. Any ideas on what we have missed would be appreciated.

My opinion is that you have knocked the wires at the coil. The OEM white power input wire has a crummy looking crimp terminal on it. I have cut them off and replaced them before today.

BeeUtey, changed coil back to one that was replaced last weekend. This was one you sent me a couple of years ago [MEC723]. Most of ignition miss disappeared although it still is not running correctly on lpg. I will track down a similar replacement coil to see if it gets back to working again. Thanks again.
