    Brake Lights

    The two brake lights in the rear light cluster of my 1997 300tdi are not working. However, the high mounted brake light works. Have checked the fuse (#1 15 amp) and the two bulbs - all seem OK to my unpracticed eye.

    All other lights working OK.

    Any ideas? I have the car booked in to an auto electrician next week; but if anyone has an easy fix in the meantime............

    Mine don't work either, but I'm planning to get them going. Do the brake lights in the bumper work? Weren't the higher brake lights disabled because of some silly Aussie registration law?

    The cluster has a normal spade type multi connector - give it a clean. It's easier to remove the cluster from the body to do this.
