Fan noisey on my 92 disco
Hi all,
Over the winter period when I had to use the fan to defrost my windscreen(with help from heated windscreen) at 0100 hrs so I could get home to my warm house.

At first it only made a bit of a noise on the first setting, but now it makes it on all settings plus its getting louder.
Is it an easy fix or do I have to pull half the dash apart to get to it.
cheers

Should be simple enough.
I think from memory all you have to do is remove the glovebox bin assembly and the fan housing is in behind that, from memory it is easily accessible. You may simply find something like a bit of paper or a leaf that has been sucked into the fan impellor.

easy peasy
Take off the shroud beneath the glovebox. Remove the phillips head screw which holds the loom onto the bottom of the fan housing. Remove the plug for the fan. Remove three 8mm screws from the bottom of the fan housing. Manouevre the fan casing down and out. It'll have trash in it!
Clean.
Replace all the bits. Test.
Cheers
