I would be checking the hazard switch first, then if OK, battery to engine earth, engine to chassis earth, chassis to body earth and then still no good try a new flasher can, Regards Frank.
I have a 97 300tdi and after getting my Axle's replaced after snapping one the disco's formed a really annoying problem...
When driving in any gear the hazzard lights come on above 2500 rpm.
this is really starting to pee me off and everyone else on the road im guessing...
Is there any way to stop this from happening with out throwing big lumps of money at it as latley thats all i seem to be doing??
Any help would be greatly appricated.
Cheers
Justin

You have something wierd going on there, I would spend the $'s and have an Auto Electrician check it out, Regards Frank.
P.S. check that the clutch pedal mechanism is not fouling or interfering with any loose wiring under the dash.
