If it's a 95 model then it's a D1
Personally I'd trailer it, it is a landie after all![]()
Hi guys
After 4 years a member of this forum, I have just accidentally bought a Disco 2. (I was mucking about on ebay whilst under the influence) So, I have purchased a 1995 D2 3.9 V8 for the princely sum of $1700. Is this a fair price or have I stuffed up!I have not seen it yet (it is in Sydney, I am in Canberra) Supposedly only needs tyres for rego. I now have to get it back to Canberra, so am debating whether to drive it on a permit, (it's supposed to be OK) or trailer it so that if it breaks down it won't be in the middle of Sydney or on the Hume highway! What would my learned friends here do?? Also any known issues with this model? (it has about 230Ks) Any advise, commiserations, or simply words of comfort appreciated

From memory the vehicle if its been out of rego for some time and and you apply for a permit it needs to have a "blue slip" so road ready for it to be approved. we did this with the wifes car when moving to QLD for NSW, due for rego 3 days before the move and cheaper rego in QLD at the time.
It had to have a blue slip to be driven before permit issue from RTA.
Things may have changed from 15 years ago but if anything I would think they would be more stringent.
GL with the D1.
