Thread: Fluid Advice

Hi Guys, I am about to replace all of the fluids/oils in my disco. Now as this is my first disco (have had series landy's in the past) i wanted to get some advise on what you think is best. Mine is a 96 petrol with 198*** km's. I've bought this as a weekend toy : and will be doing some pretty serious off road work (once i get it right) and a trip away once a year, it wont do anymore than 5-8000 km a year and will only get used once a fortnight .

I have got mine booked in for this Wednesday to change all of the fluids/oils at a 4x4 L/Rover specialist and I will be asking him what oils/fluids he recomends.

Ideally I want to be able to just walk into Repco/S.C.Auto ect with a list eg; Castrol "whatever" and buy it and walk out, without having to figure out from the fine print if it will work in my Disco.

Mine is a 94 V8i Auto, will post results if they will work for you.
