200 Tdi clutch issues
Hi, been having problems with my clutch and bleeding it up after putting it all back together, it bleeds ok but has around 30mm free travel in the pedal before theres actually any resistance. Also after driving for 10-15mins the clutch free travel slowy gets more and more until it becomes difficult to pick up gears, but by pumping the pedal lightly the pedal comes back to the 30mm free travel. Not quite sure of the problem.
Have bled it the normal way, reverse bled it, bled the master by itself.
Was thinking it could be the flexible hose that joins the pipe coming from the master to the damper on the slave is expanding when the pedals used and from heat, absorbing the needed pressure for the slave.
Any other ideas?
thanks

I had a similar problem. Ended up with the rod from the slave poking a hole through the socket it sits in the arm.
It must have worn through and each time went a little further untill no clutch.
Practise clutchless gear changes.
Seems to be a common problem but with luck yours may be something else.
Good luck
