    ABS light\Petrol tank breather

    Hi new to the forum
i have just bought a 95 D1 180,000 good cond main problem is the abs light is stuck on, the previous owner has a quote for a new L\Hs\F abs sensor for 350$ +fitting extra apparently it has a loose connection. any ideas or does this sound right. i have not yet taken the car to a gravel road to check abs wich was recommended.

Also i have a slight crack in the (plasitc) tube comming from the top of the fuel cap area towards the rear, it only leaks 200m fuel when i fill the tank right up then it doesn't leek at all after that is this a serious issue i was rough quoted 300$+ for repairs on that as he would have to drop the tank to remove and also see if there is further damage along the line.
(The fuel tank itself has no leaks or the main tube from the cap, its just this little small tube from the same spot.

Any help would be great, just want to make sure the quotes are fair and im not getting jipped

There was a factory recall on those fuel tanks. Not sure just where they leaked from, but mine did exactly as you have posted.
Take it to the dealer (Barbagalo?) and ask them to check the records with the VIN number. Mine was secondhand when I bought it, but they were still obliged to replace the tank.

Easy job to install, Just put a screw driver under the one in the brake calliper and lever it up and should pop out. The other end just goes into the plug. When putting the new one into the calliper gently press and tap it in. 5 minutes a side.
    Cheers, David.
