    Tdi or V8 ?

The mounting of the Tdi alternator are pretty unique, very few alternatives, only a Transit, Mondeo and New Holland tractor from memory.

Any of the importers should have Tdi ones in stock, I bought a new 100amp one two weeks ago from Karcraft.

Ive got one that needs work. I took it off and replaced the bearings. Couldnt find my rattle gun to tighten the nut holding the pulley on so did it up as tight as I could. Wasnt tight enough apparently and the pulley came loose chewing out the pulley and making the shaft slightly tapered. The Alternator works fine so would suite a rebuild. eg. Make 1 out of 2.
I bought a secondhand one for $195 to replace it so still have the old one. $50 + postage and its yours.

Edit. Mine is for a 300TDI

I knew it was a V8, i'd still look into a bosch replacement which will be a lot cheaper than oem.
