    Raised springs

What is the general feeling for what brand of springs to use? Can get a set of Kings for a reasonable price although have had consistency issues with them before. Am hearing good things about suspension stuff. Ome dobinsons both seem to have a good reputation. Would like to go a 3 " lift but unsure of legality in Sa. Is the standard 2" enough for the discovery? Wont be throwing 35's on so dont want a monster truck.

Although probably no one else will agree with me, I had Pedders do mine, I had a heavier duty 2" lift done to allow for extra weight over the front and rear.
It gave us what we considered an excellent ride with good flex etc.
Twice I have fitted these to the D1, and when it's time to replace the Defers suspension, it too will have Pedders fitted.

2" lift looks to be the go, little less strain on the driveline and less money spent on correctional items. So opinions on brand and reasons good or bad would be great.

Anything over 2" and Castor is a big issue .
For example mine had 3.5' + castor , after lift it now has 0' castor .

Speak to the guys at suspension stuff they are great with lifts for discos

I do like pedders springs. Good quality control but pricey. Give a good ride but I'm thinking might not give enough flex as they are a firm spring. Might give suspension stuff a call.
