Relocate the I mobilizer from behind the radio to under the dash and all problems resolved.Also don't forget to re-solder the faulty joints. Mine has been good for the last 12months+.

That sounds like a good idea, although its more the central locking that needs to be fixed. Works sometimes, not others. Opens 2 or 3 doors then decides to do all?? Its all over the place so thinking if I had to do that i could buy a unit that does it all (plenty of them) and replace the factory gear as through reading here it is something that will need attention at some stage. Does it make sense to replace pommy electrics with better quality chinese electrics

You might want to try a service on the door locks and servos, give them all a clean and lube might get them working again. Mine all work but some are slowing down. When I used to open them they all went click at the same time now you can hear each one individually unlock one after the other so ill be doing it soon.

Been through that process. New battery in key fob too, sometimes works couple of fett away from car sometimes doesnt. Sometimes it works right next to the car, sometimes it doesnt. Some times pressing either button 5 or6 times gets it going other times just put the key in the lock. Even had an auto electrician give it a once over. Was then told its a land rover thing Thats why i thought the cheapest and less time consuming thing to do was wire in a new unit if it is possible to either bypass or totally remove the factory bits.
