Engine Guardian (EG2)
With summer approaching I thought I would wire up the External control harness on my EG2 to run my AC fans when it gets a bit warm.
That was easy enough following the instruction booklet supplied with the unit.
So I set the turn on and off temp and gave it a try. Thats when the problems started. I get 5 volt output voltage from the relay out wire from the ECU.
Am I missing something or have I got a dud unit?
I can get the relay to work the fans if I use a jumper from the + on the battery to the 85 terminal on the relay so I know thats all OK.

OK problem solved. I emailed the guys I bought the unit from and they sorted me out. Turns out I read the wiring diagram wrong and the switch is an earth not power.
A bit of a rewire and all is good.
Many thanx to LAND ROVER ENGINE ALARM COOLING SYSTEM FAN CONTROL NEW | eBay for their quick reply to my question.
