Couldn't be sure but the attached pics were of a bar on Ebay a while back that shows the airbag compatible sticker.
Mounts appear to be the same as for the non-air bar I fitted to my (air-bagged) D1.
Reading up on it, if the mounts are too stiff then the bags go off earlier but in a major incident, which is when you want then to work, it made no difference to the result - too many other variables in play anyhow.

    Cheers

that looks the same as mine,(see avatar) i am lead to believe (source from this forum) that if it has the rubber bump stops on the front it is airbag compatible

I had this bar on my D1. I questioned it with TJM and gave them the model number and was told it was Air Bag compatible. They told me since 1997 they only have an air bag compatible bar for the D1.
    Cheers, David.

Sorry a little off topic to original post but it appears the OP may have his answer...being as though you fellas have all owned a Tjm bar can any of you tell me whether they need a cradle for a winch like the ARB?

I been looking out for a Tjm to put in place of my ARB but when I enquirer about one the other day I was advised it needed a cradle. If they all do then I'm barking up the wrong tree again

I searched here earlier in the day ( using keywords TJM Discovery) and came across a thread that stated that the TJM bars will fit the smaller winches ( up to 9000lb ( iirc) without a cradle but the bigger ones needed a cradle. Will have a dig again later on if you havent got a clear answer by then.

was easy to refind..see here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...mount-tjm.html

I have a TJM bar on my D1, and it has a tray (homemade) to mount my 12000lb winch.

Yes You can fit up to 9500lb winch straight to the bar. You can fit a bigger one in but risk bending the bar if to much force is used.

I was looking for some Pictures I have of mine but then saw Linds has put a link to a previous post.
    Cheers, David.
