    Gear box trouble

Over the last few weeks I've noticed getting into 2nd gear seemed to be harder, then did a day trip to Moore River where the 4.6 got a good work out and it got worse but also struggled to get it into 3rd and reverse.

Drove it for a couple more days and was expecting to have to pull the box out for a sort out.

Then out of the blue a though occured .

I usually put my loose change in the centre console( flat section) near the gear stick and sometimes the coins slide under the gear stick hood...

You guessed it, an hour later with a bent screw driver and a long pair of tweezers I had collected $1.45 in loose change stuck at the base of the gear stick

Most of the coins were bent out of shape and had obvoiusly been getting caught during the gear shifts.

    Phew....

Hmm, bet you were worried your Disco had had a top loader transplant, until you discovered the cause!

    Good find.

    Thanks.

Got to say it was the first and likely the last time I made money fixing the Disco....
