    tensioner and time delay

hi to all. recently i had my alternator seize causing the drive belt to ground down ive replaced the belt set . my question is how often should you replace the tensioner it was replaced about 5/6 years ago 100.000 kms around about . as im about to go away on holidays i want to make sure all is well . also i used to have about 30 seconds to put windows up after switching off the car but this no longer happens is this controlled by the unit behind the glove box if so what joint do i look at or i look at some other unit any help would be greatly appreciated .thanks

    Tensioner

I only replaced mine when all attempts to stop the squeal proved fruitless including replacing the bearing. It drove me nuts after water crossings. All good now.As for the windows some one else should be able to help.

Sounds like the window lift ecu is failing, mine went from the rears working after 5 mins to now not working at all. Time to remove the ecu and re solder the joints.
