    Question Bottom V8 Radiator Hose

Am having a slight overheating prob when towing or working hard, I have researched what I can on here (for the moment) & am now just going through easy things 1st. I know that the bottom hose has a t-piece which goes to the expansion chamber but until I just looked at some pics on a couple of sales sites I didn't know there was a 2nd. The manual says bugger all about it, so am asking what/where does it go to
Also how soft are the hoses supposed to be, easy squeeze or hard when cold/hot?
    Thanks

There are two types of bottom hose...the one with two branches is for the EFi engines and the single branch type is for twin carburetors.

As a rule the pressure inside the hoses makes them quite hard once the engine has warmed up. On a cool engine they should be easy to squeeze.

If the top hose is so hard that you fear it's going to burst or blow off from the radiator then you might have issues with a head gasket or something as simple as a dodgey pressure cap on the header tank.

From memory, the second branch goes to the metal heater hose that loops over from the top of the RH head.

Yeah I lost track of where it goes at the back underside of air-con compressor . Couldn't stay outside long because of all this bloody rain & ground & grass are almost lakes so getting underneath at the moment is a no go LOL
