    tdi head tension

    hi to all i would like to know if you need to re tension the head gasket once its been replaced . i have just finished replacing the head and gasket tensioned to specs etc. my question is re-tension or not any help with this problem would be appreciated

    they are torque to yield bolts, if you followed the correct procedure they dont need retourquing

    torque to initial and then do the stages.

    then leave it alone.

    You don't need to re-tension but they aren't TTY bolts, they can be re-used.
