Well after doing mine this weekend , see below posts, ...they get there signal from the black and white wire on the coil, check power there and that its not loose. And I guess check for power on the plug at the tank, if all good then I'd say you pump is cactus, just put the Bosch pump in mine yesterday ,...probably just telling you what you already know ...:-) Gary

On mine the delivery line was on the left, and return on the right...I remember this as I forgot to let the pressure off by opening the cap , and couldn't figure out why fuel wouldn't stop pouring out the return line. Then had problems getting the big plastic retaining ring undone ...do you have submersible fuel line on hand to go in the tank off the pump??.

I have a spare pump already made up . Just have to re wire the plug and put in . Do you just start as per normal once replaced or do you need to do anything else?

Isn;t the D1 tank about 80 litres? That's more than the Defender one was (65? ) and a luxury to me.... can;t see why a bigger one would really be necessary ?

80l gets you up to 800km - maybe less in the desert of course....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

A TDi will get you that far, yes, on a standard tank. A V8 will just about get you as far as the next servo on 80l.
