Interior LED lights in D1 ?

    Q1
Has anyone got details of what LED bulbs can be had to replace all the existing interior light bulbs?

    Q2
I have an LED strip light (bought from Inc some time back) which I'd like to instal above the load space - so that it comes on when the rear door is open.
Where would I best draw power for this sort of thing, and how much power is it likely to draw? Would I be better wiring it into the 2nd battery (when I get one)or would the current draw be so low there's be no risk of flattening the starting battery with it....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I got my interior leds from supercheap.
    Both are 36-37 mm

Run your led strip light from the cargo light at the back and no it will not flatten your start batt unless you leave it on for a long, long time.

I bought a roll of led strip online, cut it to about 850mm, and just wired it into the cargo light circuit, with a switch so I could turn it off when the door is open. Only prob is I can't turn it on manually, only via the door switch which turns it off after a few minutes. (It's hard to tie fishing tackle when the light keeps going off!) Am thinking of adding a constant live feed and replacing the switch with a three-way so as to have complete control. I stuck it facing down on the plastic lip the the headlining sits behind. Illuminates the boot and rear seats. You can buy standard 36mm festoon bulbs from auto stores to replace the interior lights, or standard shped ones for the tailights, highly recommend it as it gives so much more light. Or buy them from dealextreme or ebay, save between $12-15 a globe, even if the quality may not be as high the price more than compensates and I've never had one fail yet.

Oh and I've just ordered some 800 lumen strips for reversing lights, will let you know how they go. (So excited, can't wait to see how good they are.)

Very interested in your lighting solutions mate.

What led bulbs does the D1 take for the tail lights, park lights etc. Did you replace the indicators with LED bulbs? What appropriate flasher can did you use ?

Inc - will do mate. Do you keep them in the shop? If so I'll drive up one day and say hello.

Not sure off the top of my head, just pull one out and see. It'll either be the standard bulb or one with offset lugs. I havn't yet replaced the ones on my curent vehicle as none of them has blown yet. I did replace them on my first one and on other vehicles and it is definitely worth it, much brighter even through the diffuser. I also replaced the indicators with white leds, but I had the orange lenses, You can buy orange bulbs for clear lenses. I didn't touch the flasher unit. Hope that helps.

I put some LED ones from Supercheap into the twin interior lights and they blew a fuse, so I've gone back to the originals. Not sure why it happened.
