Had a day off so headed up the beach today. Some great driving up there with the rocks exposed from all this weather. Loving the capabilities of this thing, can't wait to start the mods :D

Good to see you're enjoying your new truck mate...Have fun :) Make sure you give her a good rinse underneath after being on the beach and some lanolin ;)
Gave her a good rinse before I even walked in the house when I got home. Don't want to risk any rust.
I would recommend pulling all the carpet and insulation up to inspect the floor pan. I just bought a '93 with no rust. I pulled almost the entire interior out and have found rust forming on the floor pan. No biggie, easy fix. Would highly recommend you check.Quote:

One thing I noticed with mine, which I thought was rust free, was when I was changing transfer box oil I was sliding out from under with rear door open I noticed some on the bottom of the centre door pillar. There's a hole there for water drainage & it was rusted around there, nothing really serious but enough to have me thinking how I'm going to fix it SOON. Just covered it in lanolin for now & the other side which was ok. :D
Cheers Landie333, i'll investigate that when I next get a chance. Still waiting for my money to come through so I can go pick up the lift and tyres. Ordered a set of Terrafirma 50mm extended flexi flares so I should see them in the next few weeks and then the fun begins :D
