    Clunk changing up gears

Hi guys n Gals, I put my post in the right spot this time I hope lol, I have a loud clunk when changing up gears but not changing down, It seems as if its coming from directly below the gear shift but you know these sounds can travel, Its a 92 Disco V8 5 speed, don't know what size motor or box and don't even know how to find out for that matter,
    please help, Cheers Mark.

Hi Mark, where are you located?

This could be many things, unfortunately. Rear A frame ball joint, transmission mainshaft and transfer case input gear wear, engine mount/s, tailshaft slip yokes and/ or universals, differential cross shafts or Axle splines/ CV joints/.

The 1992 models have 10 spline diffs and axles so there will always be a bit more slack in them compared to 1994 onward that went to 24 spline.

Your vehicle should have a 3.5 engine and an LT77 transmission.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
