    Interior Lights

    Hi All,

I own a 93 D1 3.5l and there really is nothing I dislike about this vehicle at all, I love the look, its presence on the road, the sound the V8 makes (even if it is only a 3.5) and how it handles, it has a 2” lift 31” Maxxis Bighorn Mudders and a ARB Bar on the front, there is one thing though that is mildly annoying well not really annoying more of a case of “I wish I could do that”

The Interior lights front and mid in the cabin, there is no way to turn them “off” when the doors are open only “on” when the doors are closed, am I missing something here, LR put a 3 pos switch in the cargo area up the back, what were they thinking with the other 2 ….

My 96/97 D1 turns the interior light off by itself after a period of time of the door being open. I assume its body control module controlled, to avoid bat-flatteries if the doors are left ajar. Not sure if the earlier D1's had this feature or not.

My 97 does the same and has a 3 way switch up the front, just can't turn the middle light off while the doors open
