Warm after using them??? What about first thing in the morning after leaving the car overnight?

I have never noticed any heat in mine.

Heater vent runs right underneath the console being down south you probably have been using the heater lately right ? Plus the floor gets hot in disco's.

What made me notice in the first place is that it's starting to cool off here overnight,

they’re cold first thing, so I guess if it’s a problem it is only once there is power and not when it’s isolated ?
Drive it for a while they warm up even when not using them, not overly hot or anything just warmer than all the other plastic around them

This will be my first winter with it and it's my first Landy.... might take it for an early service.... the heater is too cold also

It sounds pretty normal to me, they do get hot underneath. Pretty sure my D1 was the same, and my Defender has underfloor heating . If you are worried though get it checked out - JC is your man.

If they are only getting a bit warm I wouldn't worry too much as you do have the transmission tunnel, etc directly underneath. But if they are "hot" then I would get it looked at. It could be an electrical short.

Either way, if you are worried about it, get it looked at. Better for the stress levels then!

Mine get rather warm even with little use on a longer drive, i do believe its just radiant heat.. unless they are getting too hot to touch, should be fine imo.

They get even hotter at night when you have the headlights on.

Mine get hot too, I am more concerned about the randomness of the back windows working and then suddenly not working. I thought the two issues might be connected???

mine only get hot when the lights are on, other than that they stay at the ambient temperature of the supportpanel from the housing.

the rear windows thing is either the power switch, the control module or the switches.
