    do disco's have cruise issues?

tried the cruise today...worked on Friday......not today~ do disco's have a history of this or should I just get the sparky to have a look?

also can I do the remote batteries myself or do I need LR dealer to do it?

    cheers

Only issues that I have ever had with my cruise were related to split vacuum lines and a dodgey brake switch. The vacuum line issue was easily fixed by replacing the lines with new vacuum hose from supercheap as the originals kept splitting at the connections. The brake was a replacement part from a local LR service shop. The failure in the mechanism of the switch caused a brake light failure also so was easy to track down the fault. I am sure there a plenty of other modes of failure but the vacuum lines are a good place to start.

The cruise system has its own vac pump, so won't be the cause of your erratic idle.

I have no issues with my cruise control.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

My old D1 had cruise when I picked it up from the dealer. It failed within a couple of weeks. TOok it back under warranty and they charged me $70 to locate and replace a fuse which had blown. Failed again within days, I never bothered after that in 3 years of ownership lol.
I think she needed a date with a sparky in that particular instance
