    It seems there are a lot of people support the 200TDI. (More than I thought).
    10 years ago in the Europe Off Road challenge scene it was well know the 200tdi was better than the 300tdi. More rugged and could put up with more crap than the 300 tdi. Was also seen as more bullet proof. .


    Not that I am in favour for each , both have their good and bad bits. I have 2 300tdi defenders and one 200tdi discovery.

    Forget the engine, difference between the discovery in the 200 and 300 Is the dash in the 200 Tdi age is shockley bad design and in the horrid blue like mine is really does take the ****. Although the beige is not a lot better. Bloody Terrance Conran and his interior design crap , did not work there did it .

    the ultimate mechanic question.

    Did the head gasket let go causing it to over heat or did it overheat taking out the headgasket?
