    Handbrake light issue

    Howdy folks,

    Can't seem to get my brake lights to light up when I apply the hand brake? The light on the dash works fine, from what I gather the switch on the hand brake itself controls the dash light only. Is there another switch/relayI should be looking for? Any thought would be appreciated.

    afaik the hand brake doesnt light up the brake lights.

    SouthOz is correct.

    There has never been any vehicle built that brings brake lights on when handbrake is applied.
    In fact it is only in recent times that vehicles even had warning lights for handbrake fitted to the dash. Like door and seatbelt warning lights, they are collectively known as "idiot lights".
