I've just compiled a list of bulbs on my 1996 Discovery 1 and hope you too find it useful;

Headlights = H4
Park lights = T10 wedge
Front indicators = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W
Side indicators = T10 wedge
High level brake = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W
Main brake = 1157 or BAY15D or 12V5W/21W
Reverse = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W
Rear indicators = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W
Rear fog = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W
Low level brake = 1156 or BA15s 5W or 12V5W
Low level indicator = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W
License plate = 2x 39mm Festoon

Front interior = 39mm Festoon
Rear interior = 31mm Festoon
Boot = 1156 or BA15s or 12V21W

Thanks. Why the variety for "boot" lights?
