Hi All,

Second gear seems to be getting quite noisy. Not sure what the noise is really but gets worse as oil gets hotter.

Very noticable from inside and out.

Changes gears ok but just a noisy second under load.

Would I be looking at bearings or synchros? What are possible causes?

I run Penrite specified gear oil not ATF.

Is it an issue that will cause total gearbox failure? I'm planning on going to Robe in a couple of weeks and would like to get home. I also occasionally tow my car to the race track, so noises like this worry me.
